Artist Statement:

Kelsey Overstreet is interested in process based abstraction with conceptual wanderings: exploring markmaking that represent both the celebration and the clean up.

The work is an act of sensory sharing between the artist, observer and a blueprint of what it means to be human in the world today. Materials reflect relationship, conflict, connection, resolve, and beauty birthed from chaos.
